  • Saturday, October 18th at 7pm — Phillips Hall Fundraiser —The Thurston Consort is dedicated to presenting regular chamber music concerts in the North Central Massachusetts region, establishing Fitchburg, MA as the regional center for the arts and cultural with performances in historic, fully renovated  Phillips Hall on the Upper Common, Fitchburg.  Our city’s premier center for the performing arts. Our Phillips Hall concert will be Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 7 PM.
  • Saturday, August 30th at 2pm — Thurston Consort Duet Ensemble — Thurston Consort Duet Ensemble to perform at the Third Annual River City Rhythm and Rock Fest, Saturday, August 30th, starting at 2pm, Main Stage.
  • Monday, June 2nd at 1pmThurston Consort Duet Ensemble to perform in the Fireplace Room, Fitchburg Senior Center, Monday, June 2nd at 1pm.
  • Saturday, May 31st at 2pm — The Thurston Consort will be in concert on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, performing for a Friends of Fitchburg Cemeteries fundraiser at the Abbey Mausoleum, Forest Hill Cemetery, 115 Mt. Elam Road.  The Thurston Consort will be joined by our Guest Artist, Siliva Boto on Piano.  Our performance is made possible through funds provided by the Fitchburg Cultural Council, the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts and the Fitchburg Creative City Partnership.   • Friday, April 18th starting at 12pm — The Thurston Consort Duet Ensemble will be in performance at Fitchburg City Hall for a noon hour concert starting 12 pm to 1 pm.  Our performance is part of Fitchburg’s annual 01420 Celebrations..  Our performance is made possible through funds provided by the Fitchburg Cultural Council and the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts.
  • Saturday, March 8th starting at 4:30pm — Thurston Consort Duet Ensemble. Performing for the opening of Gallery Marquee’s new Juried Exhibition: WATER: Currents of Change on Saturday, March 8th. This performance is jointly funded by the Community Foundation of North Central Mass and the Fitchburg Cultural Council.
  • Saturday, February 22nd starting at 12pm. O’Neil Hall, Old Fitchburg Armory, 14 Wallace Ave in downtown Fitchburg, MA. This performance is part of the  North Central Mass Creative Summit 2025 and is jointly funded by the Community Foundation of North Central Mass and the Fitchburg Cultural Council.

  • Thursday, November 7th, 12:30 pm: The Thurston Consort Full Ensemble will be performing at the Fitchburg Senior Center Thanksgiving Luncheon, O’Neil Hall, 14 Wallace Ave, Fitchburg, MA.
  • Saturday, October 5th, 2 pm – at Forest Hill Abbey, 115 Mt. Elam Rd., Fitchburg, MA 01420. The Thurston Consort will be performing a fundraiser for the Friends of Fitchburg Cemeteries.
  • Saturday, August 31st, 2 pm – 10 PM at Riverfront Park, Fitchburg, MA 01420. Step into the vibrant celebration of music and art at the 3rd Annual River City Rhythm and Rock Festival, proudly presented by CoFF33 Corp.
  • Saturday, June 22nd, 2 pm at the Dillon Room, First Parish Church, 923 Main Street, Upper Common, Fitchburg, MA. “In concert:  An Afternoon with C#”  English music collected and arranged by Cecil Sharp.
  • Saturday, May 11th, 2 pm at the Rollstone Congregational Church, 199 Main Street Fitchburg, MA. “Celebrating Six Centuries of Spanish Music.” From the court of Ferdinand and Isabella, through 19th century Puerto Rican dance music to 21st century Latin Hip Hop. The concert will feature Guest Artist: Classical Guitarist, Berit Strong and contemporary Latin Hip, Hop, Fitchburg composer, Golddy
  • Friday, April 19th at 1 pm. The Thurston Consort will be in concert on Friday, April 19th, 1 pm at O’Neil Hall, Fitchburg Senior Center as part of the 01420 Week celebrations.
  • Saturday, March 2nd at 3 pm.  The Thurston Consort Duet Ensemble will be performing for the Stratton Players’ production of “High Tea”. Presented at the Fay Club, 658 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA

2023

  • Thursday, December 7th: The Thurston Consort Duet Ensemble will be performing on the December First Thursday at the FAM, 12/7/23, 3 pm to 5:30 pm. Members of the ensemble will be Hannah Bitterman on Flute, Laurie Strubbe on Cello. Joining the Duet Ensemble will be by Noel Plouffe on Hammered Dulcimer The Thurston Consort Duet Ensemble will perform Baroque Duets, English Country Dance, music from the Celtic lands and old time holiday music from 18th century New England.
  • Saturday, November 4th: Fitchburg Cultural Alliance 45th Anniversary Celebration with a tribute to Ellen DiGeronimo and Jennifer Jones, Saturday November 4th 6 pm to 9pm at O’Neil Hall, Fitchburg  Senior Center, 14 Wallace Ave.  Fitchburg, MA

2022

  • Sunday, September 25h: Rollstone Congregational Church, 199 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA   The consort will be presenting a program of composer from the First New England School. This year’s guest artist will be Jacsonn Jean, Lyric Baritone.
  • Friday, May 27th: Rollstone Church, Fitchburg, MA. The Thurston Consort will present a concert of early music.
  • Sunday, June 5th: The Thurston Consort will present a concert of early music and provide incidental music for the Stratton Players performance of Shakespeare in the Park, Carter Park, Leominster, MA.
  • Saturday, June 11th: Members of the Thurston Consort will present a concert of early music and provide incidental music for the Stratton Players performance of Shakespeare in the Park, Gateway Park Fitchburg, MA.
  • Sunday, June 12th: The Dillon Room, First Parish Church, Upper Common, Fitchburg, MA. The Thurston Consort will present a concert of early music.

2021

  • Sunday, July 18th, a concert at The Old Shirley Meeting House, Shirley, MA
  • In October the Thurston Consort presented a concert of three centuries of music by Fitchburg Composers. This concert is available through FATV and can be found on YouTube.
  • In December, the Thurston Consort presented a concert of music by New England Composers born in the 18th century, along with a reading of Washington Irving’s Christmas Sketch Book read by the consort’s guest artists Elizabeth and Bill Hoemann.  This concert is available through FATV and can be found on YouTube.
